Dutch Peach Pie -Gluten Free

Ingredients

***Filling***
10-14 peaches- sliced(Georgia peaches are the Best)
1 tablespoon gluten free flour
1 tablespoon cornstarch

  

***Topping***

½ cup Bob’s Red Mill Gluten free Rolled Oats

3 Tablespoon Gluten free all purpose flour

½ cup packed brown sugar

¼ cup Earth Balance Natural soy-free spread( cut into small pieces)

1 unbaked Gluten free pie shell(9-10 inches in size)

½ teaspoon cinnamon

½ teaspoon nutmeg

Dash of Pure Vanilla extract

 

*Optional :You Can add pecans or almonds

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

Peel,Pit & Slice the peaches(You will need about 5 cups of sliced peaches)

Set the peaches aside while you make the topping

Mix all the dry ingredients together for topping

Add spices & vanilla

Mix until all topping is well combined

Add the butter spread pieces into the rolled oats topping mixture

Cut the butter into the topping until it is crumbly

Topping is done …Now arrange the sliced peaches and place in pie shell.

Sprinkle the peaches with flour and cornstarch

Crumble the topping mixture evenly over peaches.       

Place the pie on a baking sheet to catch any bubbling over

Bake 30  minutes  or until the topping is golden brown and peaches are bubbling

Serve the Dutch Peach pie warm (optional -top with a scoop of  Delicious Dairy Free Coconut Milk, Almond Milk Ice cream)
